Earlier this month JCP&L made a generous donation to Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey.

The $2,500 donation will help support the student scholarship program, which will be extremely helpful providing students with financial support as 30% of undergraduate students qualify for federal and/or state-funded grants, and over 40% are first-generation college students.

Kathy Moyer, JCP&L customer support, had the opportunity to meet three students who benefited from the scholarships offered at Monmouth University. Kathy says the students were thankful for the support and said if it were not for companies like FirstEnergy in the community supporting the scholarship program, they would not have been able to attend Monmouth University.
