Congratulations, Graduates!

June 13, 2024
Don the gown, toss the cap and hail the conquering graduates! FirstEnergy abounds with the newly degreed this season, as 13 employees from across the company have recently completed college degree programs as part of FirstEnergy’s Educate to Elevate Program – which is designed to provide a path for employees to secondary education.
“To have more than ten graduates this season is a remarkable accomplishment for our employees and Educate to Elevate’s success,” said Michelle Henry, Senior Vice President Customer Experience and Educate to Elevate Executive Sponsor. “I commend our graduates for putting in the hard work and dedication to achieve this tremendous milestone in their careers.”
Available to all employees, Educate to Elevate gives participants an opportunity to pursue their educational goals in business degree programs while continuing to work. It offers flexibility and financial benefits, allowing students the ability to defer tuition payments and take advantage of the company’s tuition reimbursement policy.
“Six employees who graduated from Pennsylvania’s Alvernia University with associate degrees also comprised the second cohort in program history to successfully take coursework at the same pace and graduate together as a group,” said Educate to Elevate Program Lead Erin Moxley, HR Representative, Learning & Development.
In addition to Alvernia, program graduates earned diplomas from Pierpont Community and Technical College in West Virginia and Ohio’s Stark State College.
