FirstEnergy’s Internal Audit team demonstrated their commitment to the community by volunteering at the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank last month.

The team, consisting of 28 members, dedicated their time to sorting, inspecting, relabeling and repackaging donated food items. Their efforts included weighing and bagging pasta, packaging assorted drinks and canned goods, sorting frozen foods, filling soap containers and bagging goods for distribution.

The volunteer event coincided with Hunger Action Month, a national campaign that takes place annually to raise awareness and inspire action against hunger in the United States.
