Ohio Edison celebrated the safety achievements of employees at the Marion Service Center.

Marion’s 51 employees received the President’s Safety Excellence Award for working five years without an OSHA-recordable incident. Seven employees also were recognized as members of Ohio Edison’s Quarter Century of Safety Club for working 25 years or more OSHA-free.

“Working OSHA-free for five years is an outstanding accomplishment. We thank Marion employees for their strong safety focus – from assessing and eliminating hazard exposure to wearing the required personal protective equipment,” said Ed Shuttleworth, regional president, Ohio Edison.

Bargaining-unit employees at Marion are represented by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1194.
