Ohio Edison recently celebrated the safety achievements of employees at Youngstown Service Building.
The President’s Safety Excellence Award was presented to 179 employees for working one year without an OSHA-recordable incident. Thirty of those individuals were recognized as members of Ohio Edison’s Quarter Century of Safety Club for working 25 years or more OSHA-free.
“Personal safety starts from day one on the job, but the challenge is continuing this commitment year- round,” said Ed Shuttleworth, regional president, Ohio Edison. “Youngstown employees have embraced that challenge and are committed to future safety success.”
Bargaining-unit employees at Youngstown are represented by UWUA Local 118.
