​Eleven employees at Mon Power’s Hinton Service Center received the President’s Safety Excellence Award at a recent lunch event. Members of the group were celebrating two years without an OSHA-recordable incident.

“Like many of our facilities, there is a real family atmosphere at Hinton Service Center,” said Holly Kauffman, president, West Virginia Operations. “The employees know each other well and genuinely care about protecting their coworkers from injury. I thank these employees for watching out for each other and congratulate them on their safety achievement.”

Bargaining-unit employees at Hinton are represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 50.
