Safety Milestones at JCP&L

JCP&L recognized the following work groups for recent safety milestones:

  • Cookstown – Fourteen employees in the Lines group achieved 17 years without an OSHA recordable and six years without a controllable motor vehicle accident (CMVA).
  • West Wharton – The Transmission group’s 16 employees celebrated seven years of work without an OSHA-recordable incident.
  • Phillipsburg/Washington – Meter Reading reached six years without an OSHA recordable. There are 14 employees in the group.
  • Central New Jersey – The Mobile Construction Group’s eight employees achieved six years without a CMVA.
  • Hopatcong – Meter Reading has gone five years without a CMVA and four years without an OSHA recordable. Eleven employees work in the group.
  • Northern New Jersey – Twelve employees in the Fleet Services’ remote reporting night crew have driven four years without a CMVA.
  • Flemington – Meter Reading achieved three years without an OSHA recordable. There are 11 employees in the group.
  • Summit – Forty-four employees in the Lines group celebrated three years without a CMVA.
  • Forestry – Eleven employees in the group have worked two years without an OSHA recordable.
  • Dover – The Lines group achieved two years of OSHA-free work. There are 47 employees at the shop.
  • Morristown – Fourteen members of the Cable group achieved two years without a CMVA.
  • Boonton – The Lines group’s 33 employees celebrated one year without a CMVA.
  • Lakewood – Thirty-six employees in the Lines group have driven one year without a CMVA.

Bargaining-unit employees at JCP&L are represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1289.
