Safety Milestones

Potomac Edison, Mon Power, Penn Power and Penelec recognized employees for safe work practices.

Potomac Edison

  • Frederick – The service center achieved two years without a controllable motor vehicle accident (CMVA) on July 21. There are 99 employees based at the facility. Bargaining-unit members are represented by Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA) Local 102.

Mon Power

  • Clarksburg – The service center marked five years of OSHA-free work on July 11. There are 57 employees based at the facility. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 2357 represents union members.
  • Marlinton – Ten employees at the facility marked seven years without an OSHA recordable on July 14.
  • Fairlea – The service center’s 41 employees achieved one year of OSHA-free work on July 15. Bargaining-unit members are represented by IBEW Local 50.
  • Kingwood – Thirty employees celebrated three years without an OSHA recordable on July 22. IBEW Local 2357 represents union employees at the site.

Penn Power

  • Clark – Sixty-eight employees at the service center celebrated one year without an OSHA-recordable incident on Aug. 9. Bargaining-unit employees are represented by UWUA Local 140.

Penelec

  • Clearfield – The district celebrated nine years without an OSHA recordable. Forty-nine employees work out of the facility. Bargaining-unit members are represented by IBEW Local 459.
  • DuBois – Twenty-seven employees marked five years of OSHA-free work. IBEW Local 459 represents union members.
  • Lewistown – The site’s 33 employees have worked one year without an OSHA recordable. Bargaining-unit members are represented by UWUA Local 180.
