Supporting Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

​Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) is one of our core values, and two nonprofit organizations received grants to support such efforts through our Investing with Purpose (IWP) initiative.

Met-Ed

Franklin County Coalition for Progress (FCCP) received a $41,200 grant. The funds will be used to address systemic racism and bias through a series of free diversity and inclusion community training sessions and marketing around Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and/or Questioning (LGBTQ) rights through the Franklin County Welcoming Project.

Accepting the check from Shayne Smith, consultant, Regional External Affairs is Noel Purdy, FCCP.

Family and Community Services, Inc. received a $50,000 grant to support Valor Home and Honor Home, which are two homeless veteran transitional housing facilities.
