A Joyful Season

January 31, 2023

From adopting families to honoring veterans to providing care packages, employees in our JCP&L service area were busy elves during the holiday season. Here are a few examples.

The Mercy Center of Asbury Park reached out to Elaine Vincent, advisor, Community Involvement, to see if our central New Jersey employees would participate in its Adopt a Family holiday initiative. Answering the call, our employees adopted 20 families representing 25 adults and 47 children. They provided bikes, children’s toys and art supplies, clothing, shoes, hats, gloves and more. A number of employees contributed additional items, such as gifts for the parents including candles, clothing and toiletries.

Each December, Wreaths Across America ceremonies for veterans take place throughout the U.S., at sea and abroad. A number of New Jersey employees participated at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sparta and at Somerset Hills Memorial Cemetery.
