Living Our Core Values

April 9, 2023

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) is a FirstEnergy core value – and a companywide priority.

Here are two events demonstrating our commitment to this important initiative – as well as living our Stewardship value by enriching our communities.

Employees in our Met-Ed service area volunteered for the IM ABLE Foundation’s Annual Bash. The event raises funds, understanding and awareness about the organization and its mission to remove obstacles that keep people with challenges on the sidelines. The organization also provides access to programs and equipment tailored to their needs and a community of all abilities to support them. Also, the FirstEnergy Foundation has supported the organization’s Lead from the Front program, which pairs a veteran with a differently abled person so they can motivate and learn from one another.
