​A Louisiana resident sent this postcard to thank FirstEnergy personnel for helping to restore power in the New Orleans area following destruction caused by Hurricane Ida. Packing sustained winds of 150 mph, Ida knocked out power to nearly 950,000 Entergy customers in Louisiana and Mississippi. A 500-person FE contingent – which included line workers, fleet mechanics, corporate support employees, vegetation workers and line contractors – spent more than two weeks in September repairing storm damage. In some of the more devastated communities, our crews basically rebuilt the electrical infrastructure from the ground up.
