Empower Launch is Set for June

Empower is the digital platform for employees, contractors and retirees to access benefits, payroll, time off programs, career management, training, retirement, and technical help. This product will replace SAP-HR and MyCareerMap, along with 15 other systems, and is a solution to connect HR processes from hire to retire.
The Empower project team continues to make significant progress in configuring and testing Empower to ensure it’s ready for our launch date of June 19, 2023. This calendar provides important dates and milestones and following are a few key updates.
- Virtual “Ask the Expert” sessions will be offered so employees can learn about the new system, get informed of process changes, see demonstrations, and ask questions. More information will be available on these sessions in March.
- Employees will be invited via Map My Learning to virtual Empower training in May where they will learn: the fundamentals of navigating the new system, how to use Employee Self-Service and /or Manager Self-Service and how to enter time.
- From May 15 through July 29, there will be a freeze on many current HR systems and processes so that data can accurately be transferred to the new system. During this time, there will be a pause to employee and organizational changes such as transfers, promotions, salary increases, reorganizations, and the creation of new org units and/or positions. The ability to make these changes resumes July 30 in Empower.
- In July, Talent Management/Career Development training will be offered to help employees understand how to enter or update their performance and development goals and talent profile, as well as other key features of our talent processes.
- Employees can expect an enhanced benefits open enrollment process using Empower in the fall.
