FirstEnergy Ambassador Network members volunteered to participate in mock interviews for seniors across Akron Public Schools.

Each student had the opportunity to practice answering interview questions, providing valuable experience for the students, and allowing them to receive professional feedback.

The mock interviews were not only beneficial in terms of practical experience, but they also provided an opportunity to build relationships between students and professionals in the business world.

The story of Qua Watkins, a FirstEnergy employee, is a great example of how impactful events like this can lead to life-changing opportunities. At last year’s event, Qua’s enthusiasm during his mock interview caught the attention of Brian Johnson, a supervisor at the customer contact center. Qua was later hired at FirstEnergy this year in March.
