We’ve been highlighting  our exceptional employees − and we want to share another of our own who is making a positive impacts on the company and the industry.

Amanda Turner, external design engineering supervisor for FirstEnergy, was featured in a recent edition of Minority Engineer magazine. In the piece, Amanda is spotlighted as an energy professional who has impacted and re-energized the energy, gas and utility sectors through her work with transmission design engineers.

Amanda leads a group of transmission design engineers who oversee engineering firms responsible for designing transmission projects. Amanda initially sought a career with FirstEnergy because she was looking for  stability ­− and she encourages current students to pursue the company’s internship and co-op programs  She stays for the growth opportunities to move around within the company while continuing to expand her skill set.
