FirstEnergy has a long-standing tradition of supporting the Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio and its initiatives to promote a more inclusive future for youth in the communities where we live and work.
On November 14, 2023, Tonya Shelton, human resources representative V and Maggie Myers, manager, FEU Process Improvement, were honored with the LeadDIVERSITY Outstanding Alumni Award during the Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio’s 69th Annual Humanitarian Award Celebration.
The award is given to alumni of LeadDIVERSITY, a program that brings together professionals and community leaders to improve their understanding of diversity, inclusion and equity issues. The program aims to enhance leadership skills, build networks and explore the concepts of diversity, equity, inclusion, and leadership to strengthen each participant’s personal, workplace and community impact.
FirstEnergy alumni of the program include Lorna Wisham, vice president, Corporate Affairs & Community Involvement, and Deandra Williams-Lewis, director, Ethics & Compliance.
