Jim Fakult, president of New Jersey Operations, has been named to the ROI-NJ Power List’s Super 60* for his leadership at JCP&L and his role as chair of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce (NJCC).

A 35-year employee of FirstEnergy, Fakult has overseen its operations in New Jersey since 2013.

The NJCC one of the state’s largest business advocacy groups. He served as its vice chair before being appointed to a two-year term as chair in 2021.

ROI-NJ, a business media company and source for news impacting New Jersey’s economic influencers, ranked Fakult No. 17 on the list. The group noted his positions with JCP&L and the NJCC “are just two of the big roles Fakult takes on, showing his commitment to the state.”

In addition to these two leadership roles, Fakult serves on the board of the Alliance for Action, Choose New Jersey and the New Jersey Utilities Association. He is a member of the Morris County Chamber Business Cabinet and is chair of the board of trustees for the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn.

Fakult was selected as a member of Governor Phil Murphy’s Restart and Recovery Advisory Council, a group of New Jersey business and municipal leaders that helped organize and plan the restart of the state’s economy following the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
