Junior Achievement Reaches 1,500 Students from Two Events

March 8, 2023

Although we’re just a week into March, the FirstEnergy Ambassadors Program has already attended two Junior Achievement  inspire-to-hire events, which included close to 1,500 junior and senior high school students from various school districts in our service area.

The inspire-to-hire events brought out a mix of students interested in construction and professional roles in STEM, business and legal. Employees demonstrated the safety trailer as students asked questions, interacted with tools and equipment tried out some protective gear.

Junior Achievement helps prepare students for the real world by educating them on financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship. FirstEnergy’s Ambassador Program, combined with the FirstEnergy Foundation, has supported the event for the past three years, benefiting thousands of students.

The last two events were held at the Fair Haven Hall at the Richland County Fairgrounds and Hall of Fame Village in Canton.
