​A group of employees in our Mon Power service area took advantage of warmer weather to help others.

More than 30 Mon Power employees helped to plant 1,000 trees – donated by FirstEnergy – at Watters Smith Memorial State Park during a two-day event. Since April, FirstEnergy has planted more than 17,500 trees at parks and nature reserves throughout our service territory, including more than 2,700 in West Virginia. The Watters Smith planting was FirstEnergy’s largest yet at a single location. Mon Power’s Green Team led the event.
