Penelec recently hosted Pennsylvania Sen. Dan Laughlin on a tour of its Erie headquarters. During the visit, Sen. Laughlin learned about FirstEnergy’s ongoing capital investment in Penelec territory, which includes significant upgrades to infrastructure, technology and equipment to help ensure service reliability for customers. He was also interested in FE’s efforts to keep our essential employees safe while maintaining customer service during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“We’re proud of the investments we’re making in our community,” said Penelec Regional President Nick Austin, “and the resilience and adaptability our team has demonstrated in the last year is impressive. We have a good story to tell, and we’re glad the senator is interested in learning more about our industry.”
