Penelec employees from the Distribution Control Center (DCC), DCC Support and Engineering teams recently made their way to Fairview Elementary School, located near Erie, PA. It was all for the love of STEM for the much-anticipated annual “Mad Science Family STEM Night.”

More than 1,300 eager students and their families attended the event where employees engaged in lively discussions, sharing the fundamentals of electrical systems and emphasizing the critical importance of electrical safety. The employees also talked about FirstEnergy’s core values, our commitment to the community and commitment to our customers.
