On Saturday, Sept. 28, the FirstEnergy Akron Marathon brought the community together as thousands of runners – including a number of FirstEnergy employees – took to the streets with the support of dedicated spectators. Our employees volunteered along the racecourse in Akron, offering handmade signs, words of encouragement, music and noisemakers to boost the spirits of the racers at every mile.
