Met-Ed employees at the Lebanon Service Center received the Directors’ Safe Driving Excellence Award for surpassing 500,000 miles without a preventable motor vehicle accident.

Approximately 70 employees celebrated their accomplishment at a recent lunch event. Accepting the award was Relay Technician Senior Bill Kline, who’s worked at Met-Ed for more than 50 years.

“The Met-Ed leadership team is very proud of Lebanon employees for safely driving 500,000 miles – often in very challenging road conditions,” said Mark Sondag, director, Operations Support. “Their commitment to their safety and that of others around them is evident in this outstanding achievement.”

Bargaining-unit employees at Lebanon are represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 777.
