Employees at the following Mon Power service centers were recognized for their safety commitment:
- Marlinton – for working four years without an OSHA-recordable incident. The service center is home base for 11 employees.
- Kingwood – for achieving three years of OSHA-free work. Thirty employees are based at the site. Bargaining-unit employees at Kingwood are represented by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 2357.
“By achieving these milestones, employees at the Marlinton and Kingwood service centers are demonstrating that we have the power to keep each other safe,” said Holly Kauffman, president, West Virginia Operations. “From wearing the required personal protective equipment for each job to properly grounding company vehicles, our employees are focused on keeping themselves and their coworkers free from injury.”
Marlinton and Kingwood employees received the President’s Safety Excellence Award at separate lunch events.
