Employees at Ohio Edison’s Hartville Service Center were honored for their safety commitment on a team and individual basis.

Hartville’s 19 employees received the President’s Safety Excellence Award for working three years without an OSHA-recordable incident. The company also recognized four Hartville employees as members of Ohio Edison’s Quarter Century of Safety Club for working 25 years or more OSHA-free.

“Working safely for three years is an outstanding achievement for our Hartville team. We thank members of this group for continuing to watch out for their safety and that of their coworkers,” said Rich Sweeney, who presented the award to Hartville employees as regional president, Ohio Edison/Penn Power. Rich became Toledo Edison regional president on April 28.

Bargaining-unit employees at Hartville are represented by Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA) Local 126.

Quarter Century of Safety Club members at Hartsville are (l. to r.) Brent Vaughn (28 years), James Panella (40), Michael Albanese (42) and Anthony Dzatko (38).
