Employees at Potomac Edison and Mon Power celebrated the following safety milestones:

Potomac Edison

• Fort Ashby – The service center celebrated five years without a controllable motor vehicle accident (CMVA) on Aug. 2. There are 12 employees in the group.
• Thurmont – Fourteen employees enabled the facility to reach the six-year mark without a CMVA on Aug. 17. Bargaining-unit members at Thurmont are represented by Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA) Local 102.
• Mount Airy – The service center achieved one year without a CMVA on Aug. 22. Forty-one employees are based at the site. UWUA Local 102 represents union members.

Mon Power

• White Hall – The service center achieved two years of OSHA-free work on Aug. 12. There are 79 employees in the group.
• Hinton – Twelve employees celebrated five years without an OSHA recordable on Aug. 24. Bargaining-unit members are represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 50.
