Summer Fun!

It’s summer, and that means festivals, fireworks and more. The FirstEnergy Foundation is making sure the summer fun continues in communities we serve.

Randy Durr, Regional External Affairs consultant, West PennPower/Penn Power (l.), presents a $2,000 FirstEnergy Foundation check to William Ginsburg, mayor, Rices Landing. The funds will sponsor this year’s fireworks display for the Rices Landing Riverfest event in Greene County, Pa.

Joseph Jakubick, Regional External Affairs consultant, Ohio Edison, presents a $475 FirstEnergy Foundation check in sponsorship of the upcoming Ashland Ballonfest (Ohio) – the area’s largest community event. Accepting the check is Heather Herrick, Ballonfest sponsor chairperson.

Kathy Moyer, Customer Accounts specialist, Holmdel Distribution Control Center, JCP&L (l.) presents a $2,850 FirstEnergy Foundation check to the Long Branch Chamber of Commerce in support of Oceanfest. The daylong event annually attracts more than 100,000 people to the boardwalk of Long Branch, N.J., on the Fourth of July. Accepting the check is the chamber’s Nancy Kleiberg.
