Our Veterans & Allies-Ohio Employee Business Resource Group members recently participated in two community events specifically for veterans.

Several members volunteered at the 31st annual Homeless Stand Down (HSD) at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland. HSD is a special one-day event for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Our volunteers distributed new or gently used shoes and assisted veterans with information on special resources available to them.

The group also sponsored a Volunteer Time Off event at the Hermitage Pennsylvania National Guard Armory in Penn Power’s territory. Our employees assisted with food distribution. The Community Food Network of Mercer County benefitted from this Military Share food distribution.
