Our FirstEnergy 2024 Harvest for Hunger campaign was a success! We provided 1.8 million meals to our service area, surpassing our 1.5 million meal goal. This shows our commitment to feeding needy families in our communities and living our core value of Stewardship.

“We are proud of the results of this year’s campaign. This accomplishment was possible because of FirstEnergy employees’ unwavering support and dedication,” said Torey Tolson, Consultant, Community Involvement. “Each of us rose to the challenge, showing our commitment to our communities’ numerous food banks and pantries.”

Surpassing our meal goal means we exceeded our monetary goal of $214,286 by more than $49,112. We achieved this through our auction items, employee donations, funds generated from the Harvest for Hunger Step Challenge and the Executive Leadership Fundraising Challenge.

“We genuinely miss the fun, in-person fundraising events that have defined our past annual Harvest for Hunger campaigns, so it’s great to see employee groups using creative ways to raise money for this year’s campaign,” Torey said.
