Once again, FirstEnergy employees answered the call and stood united! Thanks to the generous donations of employees, we surpassed our $1 million goal by 19.6%. With gifts through our donor choice program and the 1-for-1 match from the FirstEnergy Foundation, contributions to nonprofit organizations through our 2023 United Way Employee Giving Campaign totaled more than $2.3 million.

With many people struggling due to inflation and other factors that affect their everyday living, it’s inspiring to see FirstEnergy employees still caring for those in need,” said Lorna Wisham, vice president, Corporate Affairs and Community Involvement. “Our support will ensure that United Way agencies will have the crucial programs and services needed to keep the communities we serve strong.”

Many employees took advantage of our Community Impact Portal features that made contributing to our United Way Employee Giving Campaign an easy process. This included the Evergreen Giving option where you can continue your gifts from the previous year.
